This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and the developer of PrivaPDF ("Licensor") for the use of the PrivaPDF software ("Software"). By installing or using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
1. Grant of License
The Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Software on your personal devices, subject to the terms of this Agreement and the applicable license tier:
- Free Tier: Up to 10 PDF files (lifetime limit)
- Paid Tier (Lifetime): Unlimited PDF files after a one-time purchase; the purchase email is your license identifier and activates a single device, with lifetime updates included
This license is for a single user on a single activated device. Transfers between devices or to a new email must be processed by contacting support.
2. Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software
- Sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the Software or your license to any third party

- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Software
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent license validation, usage limits, or copy protection mechanisms
- Use the Software in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations
3. Intellectual Property
The Software and all copies thereof are the intellectual property of and are owned by the Licensor. The structure, organization, and code of the Software are trade secrets of the Licensor.
This Agreement does not grant you any rights to trademarks, service marks, or trade names of the Licensor.

|---|---|
| PyMuPDF | GNU AGPL v3.0 (commercial license planned) |
| PySide6 | LGPL-3.0 |
| Tesseract OCR | Apache 2.0 |
These components are used locally on your device and are not modified. Their respective licenses apply to those components only.

This Agreement is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you:
- Violate any term of this Agreement
- Have your license revoked by the Licensor
- Request and receive a refund for your purchase
Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession. Termination does not affect any documents you have already processed.
5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The Licensor disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
PII detection is performed on a best-effort basis. The Software does NOT guarantee complete detection or redaction of all sensitive information. Users are solely responsible for verifying redaction results.
